Loving girl looking for a forever home Dixie is a beautiful 3 year old female American bulldog/ Mastiff mix. Dixie has been waiting patiently in her foster home for far too long! She has been in rescue since a puppy. I think many people are afraid of Brindles and those may not be right for a bully breed anyway. Yet, Dixie really is a sweet girl, and has been without her forever home for so very long. She's a young adult who loves to play and fetch. Her favorite thing to do is to go on walks and will give you no hassle when walking on a leash. She's not destructive and very well crate-trained. This sweet girl knows a few commands such as sit, stay, touch, down, roll over, high five, pounce and shake. Dixie creates a very strong relationship with her human, complete with total adoration and devotion to you. She's very food motivated, so treats work well for training. She's good with kids over 8 years old and getting better with younger ones when given the chance. This beautiful girl should go to a home that has no cats. Dixie can easily make life long doggy friends if she is introduced correctly. Currently she prefers puppies because they don't frighten her as much, but given the right chances, she gets comfortable in other situations too. She does well with other medium and larger dogs. Previously she didn't do well with smaller dogs but in October was given the chance to get comfortable with a Pomeranian for a week and did very well!! Our little girl is growing up!
